Quick tips for putting both on your site
Most Squarespace sites stick a "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" link in the footer in tiny text — that's the standard placement. You don't need to make a big deal of them, but they need to be one click away from every page. In Squarespace, you add a Footer section, drop in a Text Block, and add the two links pointing to two dedicated pages.
Both documents should have a real "Last Updated" date when you publish — fill that in with the actual launch date so it's not generic.
If you start collecting emails for a newsletter or run any retargeting ads later, the Privacy Policy will need light updates. Right now it covers the basics for a service business that just runs quotes and invoices.
The Terms of Service I made earlier is also saved as a file — terms-of-service.md in your working folder — but say the word and I'll paste it directly into chat too if that's easier. From here on, I'll keep responses inline by default
TERMS OF SERVICE
Last Updated: [5/11/2026]
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and the services provided by Bins and Beyond Pressure Washing LLC ("Bins and Beyond," "we," "us," or "our"), a Georgia limited liability company based in Columbus, Georgia. By using our website, requesting a quote, or hiring us to perform services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Bins and Beyond provides residential and commercial exterior cleaning services, including but not limited to: pressure washing, soft washing, roof cleaning, house washing, driveway and concrete cleaning, deck and fence cleaning, gutter cleaning, trash bin cleaning subscriptions, and commercial dumpster and trash-receptacle cleaning. Services are offered within our service area of Columbus, Georgia and the surrounding communities in Muscogee County and adjoining counties. Service area may be expanded at our discretion.
2. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided by Bins and Beyond are estimates based on the information you provide and the visible condition of the property at the time of estimate. Final pricing may be adjusted on-site if conditions differ materially from what was described or visible at the time of quoting — for example, additional square footage, severe staining requiring multiple treatments, access difficulties, or hazardous conditions discovered on arrival. We will inform you of any pricing change before beginning work and obtain your approval to proceed.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
3. Scheduling and Cancellations
Once a quote is accepted and a service date is scheduled, you may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service may be subject to a $50 trip fee. No-shows (where we arrive on-site and cannot perform work due to lack of access or owner unavailability) may be charged the full trip fee.
We reserve the right to reschedule services due to weather (rain, lightning, sustained high winds, freezing temperatures) or other safety conditions. We will provide as much advance notice as possible when rescheduling is needed.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept credit card, debit card, ACH bank transfer, cash, and check. Recurring services — such as our monthly trash bin cleaning subscription — are billed automatically on the scheduled date via the payment method you have on file.
Invoices unpaid after 14 days may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum allowed by Georgia law, whichever is less. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Prior to service, you agree to:
Close and secure all windows and exterior doors.
Move vehicles away from the work area.
Restrain pets indoors or in a secure area.
Identify and disclose any pre-existing damage, fragile materials, hazardous conditions, irrigation systems, outdoor electronics, security cameras, or other items requiring special care.
Provide reasonable access to a working water source and electrical outlet if needed.
Notify any HOA, neighbors, or other required parties of the upcoming service.
Failure to disclose pre-existing conditions or to prepare the property as outlined above may result in damage that we are not liable for, or in additional service charges.
6. Pre-Existing Conditions and Property Disclaimer
When possible, Bins and Beyond will perform a walk-through of the property with you before service to identify pre-existing damage. This may include: cracked or chipped siding, loose paint, damaged window seals, deteriorated caulking, rotted wood, faded or chalking surfaces, deteriorated shingles, cracked concrete, surface oxidation, and loose mortar. Photos may be taken to document these conditions.
We are not liable for the further degradation of pre-existing damage as a normal consequence of cleaning, including but not limited to: loose paint being lifted, deteriorated wood absorbing water, cracked siding leaking, or chalking aluminum showing further oxidation.
Certain stains may not be fully removable, including: deep rust pitting, oil that has soaked into porous concrete, efflorescence (mineral deposits), severely weathered cedar, and stains older than several years. We will identify these in the walk-through when possible and inform you of expected results.
7. Landscaping
We take reasonable precautions to protect landscaping by pre-watering plants, covering sensitive vegetation when practical, and rinsing all greenery thoroughly during and after service. However, we cannot guarantee that all plants, flowers, sod, or shrubs will be unaffected by overspray, runoff, or cleaning chemicals. Trees and mature landscaping in good health are generally safe; recently planted, fragile, or already-stressed plants may be at increased risk, and the customer assumes that risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
Bins and Beyond carries $1,000,000 General Liability insurance with Care, Custody, and Control (CCC) coverage. A Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.
In the event of damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the lesser of (a) the actual cost of repair or (b) the total amount paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of business, or emotional distress.
You must notify us of any claim of damage within 48 hours of the completion of service. Claims made after 48 hours may be denied due to the inability to confirm cause.
9. Service Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with the quality of a completed service, please notify us within 7 days of completion. We will return at no charge to address the issue or, at our discretion, issue a refund or credit for the affected portion of the work.
This guarantee does not cover: (a) issues caused by your failure to disclose property conditions, (b) stains we identified in advance as unlikely to fully remove, (c) re-soiling that occurs after service due to environmental conditions, or (d) damage caused by the customer or third parties after our work is complete.
10. Photo Release
By using our services, you grant Bins and Beyond a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to take and use photographs of the work performed (before, during, and after) for marketing, advertising, social media, training, and portfolio purposes. We will not include identifying information such as house numbers or street addresses, and we will not photograph interiors. If you wish to opt out of this release, please notify us in writing before service begins.
11. Weather Policy
We reserve the right to reschedule due to:
Active rain or thunderstorms
Sustained winds over 25 mph
Temperatures below 40°F (where soft-wash chemicals become ineffective)
Other unsafe conditions in our reasonable judgment
We will provide as much advance notice as possible and reschedule to the next available date that works for both parties.
12. Bin Cleaning Subscription Terms
Bin cleaning subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time with no cancellation fee by contacting us in writing (email or text). Cancellations take effect after the current billing cycle (no prorated refunds). Missed services due to inaccessible bins — for example, bins not placed at the curb, behind locked gates, or otherwise unreachable on the scheduled day — are not refunded, but may be rescheduled at our discretion within the same billing cycle.
13. Privacy
Information you provide to us (name, contact information, property address, payment information) is used solely to provide services and is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law or to process payments through our payment processor. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bins and Beyond Pressure Washing LLC, its owner, employees, contractors, and agents from any third-party claims arising from your negligence, your failure to disclose property conditions, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Muscogee County, Georgia.
16. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any legal action, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith direct communication. If that fails, the parties agree to attempt mediation with a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Columbus, Georgia before pursuing litigation. Each party shall bear their own mediation costs.
17. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining portions remain in full force and effect.
18. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
